Our Mission
Our mission at kulae is to bring you only the best in environmentally friendly, high quality, and stylish yoga and fitness gear. This is an ever evolving mission. We will add products, redesign products and continually develop innovative ways to enhance your yoga practice.
We have built the finest eco yoga mats on the market with the tpECOmat™ family of mats. All lines of our tpECOmats are 100% biodegradable, 100% recyclable, and contain NO PVC, NO latex, NO cadmium, NO lead and NO rubber (that means NO allergies). Our eco yoga mats are dual layer constructed, providing two color options and two distinct, grippy surfaces for you to choose, all in one mat. Our eco mats are made of eco-conscious TPE using closed cell technology. What that means for you is that bacteria and germs cannot get "trapped" in the mat, as is the case with most natural rubber mats and traditional PVC mats (which use open cell construction). You will get the grip of a traditional "sticky" mat without the smell, the heavy carrying weight and lingering odors found in traditional rubber/PVC mats. But, our mission doesn't stop with the tpECOmat™. The kulae Kooler (18 oz and 27 oz) is made of 100% recyclable, food grade stainless steel...no more BPA. Our yoga straps are made of 100% cotton. We use 100% renewable Portuguese cork instead of foam for our blocks. Our yoga mat cleaner is 100% certified organic. The list goes on. Just know that we are working very hard to ensure that your yoga experience is in concert with the world in which we live.
At kulae, we are  and we will continue to refine and improve all of our products, as well as introduce new ones, that safely support your health and practice while protecting our environment. We encourage any ideas or feedback you may have to help us get better.
We also believe karma's realTM... that what goes around comes around, and that we all have a responsibility to our communities and to each other. With that in mind, a generous portion of our proceeds are donated to various charities. This year, we have partnered with The Give Back Yoga Foundation to focus our charity work within the yoga community. The Give Back Yoga Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and fund certified yoga teachers in all traditions to offer the teachings of yoga to underserved and under-resourced populations. Its work targets individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience yoga’s transformational benefits in various forms, including asana, breath work and meditation.
